Hey Guys,

We are having some trouble over here with one of the servers. It will run fine for about a day or so and then it will just begin to refuse all connections to the server.

I processed a full re-install of the server and the issue was fixed for about another day or so.

I have tried to delete the following files and re-create them using the DSLauncher, but that does not seem to work.

Files:

MOHADedicatedServer.ini
MOHAGameTypes.ini
MOHAMaps.ini

Anyone have the same problem or have any idea. The server is hosted on a dedicated box with no firewalls or ports being blocked.

Thanks!

I am having the same problem too.
Have been running a test server from a machine on my lan since the dedi files came out,and up until the last coupla days i have been able to connect to it and play.
Now i keep getting the connection lost/failed message.
Have triple checked my network settings and nothings changed.

It seems to be very picky about where it is installed, the game configs etc need to be in in your My documents\ea games\..... folder and the game itself has to be installed in the programe files folder.

As Diva said that is the issue she had with here server, the GSP hadn't installed it in to the correct folders.

That very same thing happened to us. We were up and running for approx 36 hours without a problem. Then, the server began rejecting connections... We own the NOC, Connections and hardware ... everything is local.

I tried just about everything but calling in Merlin the Magician to fix this "thing". After devoting the better part of Saturday to scouring through each and every facet of the install, we re-installed three times, thinking it was something we were doing wrong.

It boiled down to either PB was/is freaking out over something or MOH:AB's ersatz dedicated server is so bad it has NO redeeming values. In any case, we euthanized the thing.

Like Mike i devoted all day Sunday trying to figure the thing out.
The only conclusion i can come to is that it is the EA login servers cutting the connections.
Perhaps they're faulty or not up to the job of handling this number of logins and connections at the same time, who knows maybe they're using the same servers the consoles use.

Not sure what was up this morning, the EA Master Servers (that contol the logins) was down and therefore killed all servers dedicated and listening alike so not sure if they crashed or they've fixed something.

They're back up now so any servers will need to be restarted.

Oh shit, another spanner in the works, and a big headache for GSP's
Or should i say, another nail in the coffin.
Or could they have been fixing the "lost connection" problem,we live in hope

why would a server need a login?. im guessing here global stats?

Mike please correct me if I'm wrong.

But you where also able to actually install the game via the server locally, so your install should be the way EA intended correct?

Or did you simply copy the files over the network? Just asking because I'm getting ready to install on a test box when I get home.

then again, why bother..........

I installed the game as it was directed for a local "dedicated" server setup. It worked great for a while and then shit the bed. Every connection rejected. ->uninstall and delete!

I have never encountered such a completely bolloxed deal in my online life!

Also when you login to the multiplayer it very quickly flashes something about the stats server.

This game has caused allot of headaches since day 1, I still cant believe they released dedicated server files that are just about worthless.

The only way I have been able to fix the login issues, is by processing a re-install, but doing that every other day is just not a very good solution.

Hopefully a new patch will turn up soon to fix all the issues, seems the last patch did some nice things to the game, but the server files left allot to be desired.

Im still un sure why one server box will run with no issues, but the next one over has nothing but issues with the game, just dosent make sense.

All the servers lost connection to EA servers again this morning was only about 5 servers running when I logged in to the serverlist lol.
There gonna have to drop the login thingy at least for the servers its absurd. Or make some kinda auto login script so if server loose connection they auto log back in.
