In game browser problems - list'em here

OK, after go knows how many games, they still screw up the in game browser. Don't they ever learn from past.


OK, here is my list of browser issues anyone else?

- can't use scroll wheel on mouse to move browser
- can't click and hold on arrow keys to scroll
- browser jumps around with random ??? for ping
- servers come and go with ??? pings
- as always very unresponsive

The scrolling thing seems to be a console limitation on the PC.

I am having troubles with the scrolling it just bounces back to the top of the list when you stop for a second

It will bounce back until it's done doing whatever it's doing. Give it a minute (or 20) ;)

Still hate that ya gotta use the arrows. Why can't the just scroll?

smokin, that is because every part of the MP side of this game is a direct port from a console. :X

You can also add that your fav's won't refresh either.

As for scrolling, i click on the bottom of the list with the mouse,and then scroll using the up and down arrow keys, it works.

yeah, someone over at the official forums said, to simply click on a server then use the up/down arrows to scroll.

As for other issues, I am not getting any pings to display. I see you noted the ??? issue up top, but was not sure if you saw other servers with pings. All I am getting is ??? or 0.

Are they really kidding with this piece of crapola.

Has anybody had any problems throwing nades, as soon as I pull the pin and toss it, it does not blow up, and if I hold it for even 2 secs I am dead.

At times it seems like I am warping, yet my ping is 35 ?? One sec I am outside building in doorway and next I am inside.

This took them a month to do ? No wonder it was in QC, it should have stayed there. This is definately not the answer for this game.

Two more problems sort of game browser related.

The game browser is constantly refreshing itself and going back to the top, even while I am attempting to scroll through the server list. I am not talking about while it is loading, but even minutes later. Really annoying since it is already a pain just to scroll since the mouse wheel doesn't work.

None of my game filter options remain checked. I almost expected that when exiting the game since it won't keep my login, but I am talking about it losing them even though I never left the game. I tried to join a server (with 16 out of 24 players) and when I got denied, it kicked back to the game main menu (not even to the game browser). I returned to the game browser and all my filters were gone again.

Here is my list of the some, not all, of the fatal MP flaws I have found in MOHA.

Can't ESC out of game when scoreboard appears at the end of the game and it makes you wait until next game begins before you can leave the server.
Takes 30 seconds to end a match, 30 seconds to load the next map and start next match, and 15 seconds to spawn. WAY too long.
Axis Spawn areas VERY easily spawn rape.
Team Talk and Game Talk Sucks. Messages appear the same way.
In game messages suck bad.
Can't tell team affiliation in the in-game messages.
Maps are TIRED!
Airborne maps make it too tempting for Allies to snipe and camp. In some of the CTF games I played, I won the game because I was the only one going after the flags!
When you leave a game, it takes you back to main menu, not MP browser menu.
MP Server Browser does not save your filter choices.
EA Login does not remember login and password.
Ping still not displaying.
Server menu scroll really bad.
Can't stop server menu from refreshing.
Unable to tell what weapon was used to kill you in the in-game messages.

Also, single player took 6.5 hours to complete. Enough said about that.

Some of these issues have been noted by others, but I think this list clearly indicates that the designers of this game did not think it through, or did not care enough to produce a game that could be compared to previous versions. They seem to have taken a console game, and are trying to cram it into a PC box.

MOHA is a failure. Pure and simple.

Im getting all the above probs also the favourites doesnt work properly its hit and miss. Sometimes my server is listed as 0 ping and o players and u just cant join it in the favourites.

In regards to the browser you should be able to tell it to stop refreshing. I use this in BT often ....

It's not like they didn't have something to work off of. I realize a new engine brings it's own baggage with it ..... but so many missing features from AA - BT just can't be overlooked. Did these devs actually ever "play" any of those titles? :confused:
