Quick question (and I know its probably a stupid one) is there any server admin out there that would allow me to pull the files from their server so I don't have to upload at 100k from my home machine? I would be willing to pay for a one time transfer. I have a dedicated colocated server in Chicago. I would also be willing to trade some services or something (as my server is a web/ftp server). I am an official Ventrilo reseller so I can trade a few months of a Vent server for a one time transfer too. Thanks!
I don't think the install actually includes any cd-key information etc if it does I apologize and please disregard. I have a purchased copy I bought via EA link when it was released.
If this violates any type of copyright thing then again I apologize as I am unaware of that.
Please?

The dedi server files include an encrypted login line in the .ini.
So you might have to find your own encrypted line and change it before you upload,or you will be using the donor server login
Their is also another 2 lines at the bottom of the ini one is called Secret="............"
The other is called persistantid= ".........."
Don't know what these for, might have to change them as well.

I would have no problem if the donor would like to remove that INI file from the upload and I can upload my own INI file. No issues with that.
I am not looking for anything pireated.. Heck if someone wants to just help me with the large files, Im ok with that too.. I currently have zipped my installation up in 700MB chunks and am uploading at 135K. Once im done with that, if no one has helped me out, I would still be willing to put a link to the files on my website..

RD, didn't we discuss this already?

Looks like it may be time to do it.
According to a post by BlackHat:
easiest way is to install locally, patch locally, install the DS locally, then upload the game folder to the target PC.

I finished my upload this afternoon. If anyone needs help, please let me know as I have all the files now on my colocated server.

If anyone needs this for the UK/Europe I can sort something out. I've got a copy of the DVD uploaded zipped up in to 700Mb files (incase the upload failed and I didn't have to start all over again).

then when i started to upload it i was three hours in and the thing gave up so had to start over and same thing again....
its a joke in itself to expect this ov people to do such a thing.. and to upload 8 something gig is a joke.

The INI files that you speak of with the encrypted login is in the EA Games directory under My Documents. I am just making the game files available. To make them work, launch a DS from home, thus creating the INI files neccessary then upload your oen EA Games folder from your My Documents.
PM me if your interested in the files as some already have.
Im glad to help out, just dont forget me when the next game comes out. :p
