This exchange occurred in the Planet Medal of Honor Forums in the Airborne Section.
(A quick backgrounder)
Rudedog and a number of other representatives, (including Whiskey) from various websites attended the EA sponsored Airborne MP Summit at Fort Bragg this past August.
Immediately following the summit, a detailed, truthful report by Rudedog appeared about Airborne. The report included Airborne's highlights, shortcomings, faults and most of all, incisive insights into the value of the product.
The troublesome downside to Airborne was mostly because of a complete failure to provide a proper online side of the game (Client & Server). For a server the report clearly stated there was nothing but an anemic listen server - NO Dedicated Server at all.
Rudedog went on to point out that EA rep Blackhat made it clear that a Dedicated Server would be "in the box" at the time of release. Of course, we all know that was not to be. It seems the EA Suits told Blackhat many things that simply put, were never meant to be.
Not shortly thereafter, Whiskey sent a blistering accusatory email to Rudedog denouncing Rudedog's Report and Rudedog himself for having been truthful to the users!
Personally, if I were Rudedog, I'd offer that Email for everyone to read. Doing so, if for nothing else, than to show the world just what type of a backstabbing person Whiskey truly is. He is far from a representative of the users. Whiskey selfishly represents himself.
Rudedog, like most everyone at the summit, only represents the users... He has never forgotten that vocation in favor of selfish, ambitious goals. Because Rudedog has firmly supported the users and never wavered, he has had my admiration and full support for well over five years.
Please, Rudedog, show that email - show the world just how much of a two-faced jerk Whiskey actually is. Whiskey is for himself NOT the users.

I debated weather or not to post but after rereading your email you sent me back in Aug, I thought I should.
WOW Whiskey, welcome to Aug 1st 2007, when some of us had the balls to call it on the day our embargo was lifted.
I figured you would have a least waited for the patch to be released before coming over to the dark side. You know the side where you can actually voice your opinion good or bad without getting a nasty gram via email.
Testing finished or something?

For the time it took to write those articles, they *should've* paid me for my time. Honestly though, I'm as disappointed as a lot of other people out there. Although I think the single-player mode was actually pretty good (even if shorter than we expected and wanted), I think the multi-player and subsequent patch/fixes have been handled poorly.Even though we knew the game had serious problems at the MP Summit, the plan that was on the table at the time on how to correct those problems was a good one. Patching was supposed to begin at or VERY soon after release, and there was a "regular and aggressive" patch plan in place for after launch. For whatever reason, that plan was not followed. As others have said, even if the dedicated servers needed more time, many of these SP fixes have been ready for awhile, and if a couple small patches had been put out already, at least it would help give people confidence. Instead, there have been numerous delays and a general lack of information on the big ticket items that people really care about.Reasons for these decisions will never fully be known, and the behind-the-scenes stuff is often quite complex... however, sometimes one has to make the less efficient, more expensive, more user-friendly decision in order to make the customer happy. I can't really say that has been done in the case of Airborne.
I replied;
After having read your report following the summit, I (foolishly) still purchased two copies of Airborne... One has never been installed and the other ....well, I installed it and put it through its paces. By doing so, I was able to verify everything you pointed out in your report. I then went on to find that 100% of the complaints I read about from others were also true.
I should have listened to your advice and not purchased this awful product. I am now convinced that Electronic Arts have not changed their ways since the days of Trip Hawkins. They have had an "iffy" reputation since day one and now with In Game Advertising in 2142, MOH: Pacific Insult and MOH:Stillborn, under their belts EA has proven they do not have the consumer's best interests at heart. The die is now cast. I will never spend another cent on anything (yes, I said anything) from Electronic Arts.
Electronic Arts knows how to hustle consumers but they haven't a clue about product research, product support, customer relations and post release user support. Electronic Arts behaves just like a FLIM-FLAM scammer Carney outfit.

Whiskey will soon learn there is NO behind the scenes garbage when it comes to representing the USERS. Its either all up front or you are not trustworthy. Whiskey has forgotten or has deliberately chosen to ignore that FACT that the users PAY the BILLS. Instead, he seems mesmerized by the visions of some glad handing jerk whispering secrets in a back room.
Unfortunately, Whiskey's typically selfish behavior indicates that he, like many others, is either a very slick operator, or easily beguiled by a smooth talking hustler.
Rudedog has always been up front and truthful with the users. That's why I fully support him and his principles.
(please Rudedog, show that email to everyone) Let people see the kind crap we have to go through that's not always apparent.
