Well, all the files that are not CONFIG files are hidden inside some file format called .XXX.
I am afraid everyone will HAVE to wait for the mod tools to come out to even see what is inside those files. I tried a Zip and Rar format, those did not work.
I wish the files were better organized too though, that is almost 1100 files to look through to look for the ONE you want. I wish they would have used a directory structure like maps/, weapons/, sounds/, gfx/, etc... That would have made finding the file you are looking for MUCH easier.

EA needs to get off their asses and get their customers the ded. server and tools. If we loose momentum, games like Crysis and CoD4 will overrun MOHA and EA can not afford that.
Try out the ET: Quakewars demo.
That is how a demo should be and it did come with the dedicated server files for BOTH windows and linux. Hell for a demo the MP side played awsome and not one bit of lag.

This might be useful: http://wiki.beyondunreal.com/wiki/
For UT3 engine noobs like myself. I tried all the packers on there to get inside the xxx files with no luck.

This is because EA have not released the dedicated server or any mod tools yet. and no one can open the xxx files and mod the actual game.

You are right there Wizz...
The game plays smooth as silk...they have fixed the hitboxes so they are dead-on now. If EA does not patch a "dedicated server" into game, ET:QW will be the game we play. At least they have a DEDICATED SERVER already created for the game and it runs great.
thats my plan if the patch does not come out with a dedicated server files that work for us, im returning my game for in store credit and getting ET: Quake wars.
