Call of Duty Hall of Fame

Those of us over at BASHandSlash.com have been thinking about coming up with a CoD Hall of Fame to recognize long term contributions by the community to CoD gaming.

Given that CoD4 is coming out and the sun is setting on CoD2, we thought it appropriate to celebrate the works of those who have contributed in a extraordinary manner to make OUR gaming experience more enjoyable.

Here are our requirements for letting people into the Hall:


I) Candidates can come from the following parts of the community:

A) Builders - People who actually pay the money so the rest of us can play: server, fansite Admins, clan leaders...etc.
B) Coders/Mappers - People who have contributed binds/scripts/mods or who have provided us with new maps
C) Players - The most talented of the talented gamers who play COD.
D) Corporate liaisons - video game company workers who have helped out the gaming community

II) Long time community service: 2 years minimum at CoD. Note: We are currently not accepting nominations for work on CoD4 as that game has not even been released.

III) The nominee must be of good character.

Norm is there a limit to how many people you can nominate?

Being female and notoriously they are known for not being able to make their minds up lol I have two particular people I personally feel deserve their place in the Hall of Fame and they are:


Bullet-Worm

Without a doubt he has got to be one of the biggest contributors to CoD that either IW or the community have had.

He did things during CoD2 post release that even IW couldn't do and that was discover a workaround so that custom content could be used, without the extreme limitations in place that were the curse of every server admin that wanted to run custom maps and mods.

Also for his commitment towards supporting a majority of leagues that use Pam and for helping to create their own rulesets to play the game how they want to play it.

This man deserves a standing ovation as well as his deserved place in the CoD Hall of Fame.

Butch Cassidy

For his good intentions and attempts to bring to IW's attention the importance of continuous support for a title pre/post release. Hence the creation of the CCA and the server strike.

This was not a selfish ploy on his part and something that the CoD community as a whole has benefited from. We only need to look at CoD4 to see that IW are trying to do the right thing.

As we know one man's voice is not enough to make a change but it was his initial post that started the ball rolling way back in November 2005. I personally believe he deserves the recognition by being placed in CoD's Hall of Fame for his valiant attempts to better the support for everyone by making a stand.

Sexiest female cod player? hmmmmm, perhaps, but I would have to see alot of documentation, in various settings and points of view, to be convinced of the sexyness.
