View Full Version : 1.2 Patch Problem
:( Ever since updating our COD server with the 1.2 patch the server doesn't appear in the Internet browse list. Gamespy is set to "1" in the config file and I can see the server on the local lan. On the server console it show the name resolution with activision and the heartbeat. Any ideas???

I posted this in another thread but you guys seem to be responding with my problem more specifically.
I cannot see my server...even when I browse the LOCAL section in the server browser listing. This has never been a problem before loading the patch obviously.
I am certain it has nothing to do with mods/custom maps. After having issues early after applying the patch I went out of my way to uninstall/reboot/reinstall CoD completely (no mods/maps added). The server console seems to start okay, but it just sits there at the "sending heartbeat" line. It says it is resolving Activision addresses, but it never shows up on any browser list, LOCAL included.
I know there was a problem with occasionally not seeing your server before the patch, but NEVER LOCALLY. Guess the game isn't running after all.
Anyway, let me know if you guys come up with something. Very frustrating since others are obviously working without issues.

Check your filter settings.

I've tried all kinds of filter settings to even find my local test server....and no luck. Rudedog seems to have found a solution: Basically rename the current config_mp.cfg and the game will create a new config_mp.cfg at which time it should correct any errors which may have occured with the old version.
I believe he stated it in further detail on the main page too.
