Give us your wisdom (Spotting Hackers)

I realize there are a good many people out there who can spot wallhacks and aimbotters. I have been doing a lot of reading, and sadly there are hacks that go completely undetected by PB and other anti-cheat measures, so it's left up to the keen eye to spot and ban these asswipes.

If you have the time, please post your pearls of wisdom on how to spot cheaters

I'm a server admin and run my own clan. I'm trying to get up to speed on spotting hackers and am asking the FPS community for help. I can spot the obvious aimbotter and wall hack, but I think I miss some of the signs that might be a dead giveaway to more experienced admins, yet elude me completely.

Ok, well I choose to not think about the fact that anticheat can't get everyone. It gives a lot of satisfaction to kill players you suspect are cheating. Much more fun to hunt him away from the server that way than to force screenshots and never recieve them anyway. Otherwise just ban the ip of the player, who's to complaint, it's your server.

best tip is to move focus away from cheating and instead focus on having fun. I've been around some to hear teammates whine about cheaters on teamspeak and i'll tell you, nothing good comes out of that. I've actually done some whining myself, that kind of language on teamspeak from one member tends to spread to the others.

and your right there is alot of cheaters in that server
i've talked to Doc he siad they was going to be streaming but form playing there last night i dont think it is (or punkbuster is not doing its job)

best thing to do is get it streaming over at www.punksbusted.com
use the master ban list , MAKE sure your md5 checks are up to date , and check screenshots... force screenshots on ppl. you think need it
if they come back black ban them .. till they get thier rig straight
