Just in case we have a problem with Activision accidentally banning legitamate CD keys as EA did with MOH:BT I have got a solution, simple really.
Just block IP 63.146.124.59
However - this also blocks communications with the master browser server so that your server won't show up in the public list. Clients can still connect by typing \connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx in the console of course.
This problem could be bypassed if I could figure out a way of blocking just the codauthorize.activision.com domain and allowing communication with codmaster.activision.com - anyone have any ideas on that one (W2K3 Server, Sonicwall)
Of course this is not in any way meant to condone the use of illegally obtained copyrighted materials.

Not that I condone bypassing CD authentication but you could edit your host file

I had the problem too, all I did was re-enter the CD key then restart the game and i was good to go. One of my clan mates bought the game and got no cd key with it :? .

Are any of you still finding that your CD Key is sometimes rejected?
Alot of people I have spoken to are still getting it!
So for the time being I am stopping traffic from the server to the Cd Key verification server. But I am allowing traffic to the master server. (I have edited my host file) although it seems to resolve connection to the master my server still doesn't seem to show in the server list?
Apart from removing the changes to my host file and some people not being able to get in...do you guys have any ideas or solutions?

IW has mentioned that any server that does not have their keys verified will not be allowed to show up on the master server.
Here is what Activision has to say about CD keys not working in MP

Be warned, if we catch you doing this your server could be banned forever.

Dedicated servers don't send their cd-keys anyway?

But i bet they can fast block a range of IP from brodcasting the server......
So they will still have the possibility to block/ban servers.

If dedicated servers don't send their CD key, how come my Linux ded server continues to try to authorize? I can't connect to it no matter what I do.
