BlackHat sends along a heads up on the latest airdrop as well as a look at the past year leading up to the soon to be released Medal of Honor:Airborne. To be honest, when I received, his email I was kind of surprised that it has been almost a year. Wow how time flies by.
I would like to personally thank BlackHat for what he as done for what was an almost extinct community. I believe there was only a handful of us still around TMT, PMOH and us to name a few. From what I've seen EA is trying and I think they know this is their last chance to get it right. I'm crossing my fingers and toes that they will support this game after it ships and to see what the next year brings.
Thanks BlackHat..
Now the real news:
Bringing World War II to life takes more than merely recreating the authentic-looking weapons and settings of the European Theater of War. It also requires the development of characters that not only look historically authentic, but also experience and express a range of emotions natural to the harsh realities of life on the battlefield.
Meet Eoin Colgan. As a Lead Character Artist, his job is to deliver the best looking, and most authentic feeling, soldiers ever before seen in a Medal of Honor game. To achieve this, he uses a combination of cutting-edge technologies that take advantage of next-gen’s graphical advances, and a painstaking attention to detail so that the experiences of the everyday soldier literally registers on the faces of each and every character. All of this adds up to a game that delivers the true experiences of war that turned the 82nd Airbone into legends of World War II.

And now, a look back at the road we’ve traveled in the past year:
2 Community Summits
We’ve held 2 Community Summits in which we’ve invited several community leaders into the studio here at EALA to get a first-hand look at the game, and give us your valuable feedback as the game progresses. Plus, look for more info on other MoH Community Events coming up again soon!
Community Summit #1
Several members of both the console and PC communities came to visit us for 2.5 days, during which they received EXTENSIVE presentations on all of the ideas at the core of Medal of Honor Airborne, and even got the chance to fire REAL WWII weapons (including some with upgrades featured in the game!)
Community Summit #2
Our second summit was ALL about gameplay on the single-player side of Airborne. Two back-to-back days of PC and Console Community Leaders came to the studio to play, play, play, and did they ever. Additionally, they were given another opportunity to provide the development team with valuable feedback about the game.
Fan Site Kit #1
To help fans show their appreciation for Airborne through their websites, we released an early fan site kit with the basics to get webmasters started. Don’t think we’re stopping there, though, because I’m already working on the second kit!

The Future
So where do we go from here? Well, I’ve got a lot more planned for community as we inch towards the launch of Airborne on August 28th, including more Airdrops, exclusive assets, exclusive newsletter content, another robust fansite kit, and more! Thank you guys for ALL of the support of MoHA so far, and let’s keep at it to make sure this game is the best MoH anyone’s ever played!
Thanks!
