Console Key ????

Im New To This So Humour Me. Been A Member Of A Clan For A While And Have Just Been Given The Use Of The Rcon. Was Given Files To Put In Mainta Folder And That Went Ok, Problem I Have Is I Cant Seem To Login. I Have Been Told That I Have To Press The Key Which Is Above The Tab Key And To The Left Of The 1/! Key. Fine, I Know Where It Is But It Doesnt Bring Up The Required Field For Me To Login To The Rcon. It Just Brings Up The Chat Screen So Cannot Login.
Have I Missed Anything ?
Am I Doing Something Wrong ?
Am I Just Thick ? Be Gentle

Tilde brings up the console. ~ - you have to hold the shift key.

Then type

rconpassword yourrconpassoword

From there, you can enter commands like

rcon status

to get status on the server. You have to be connected to the server before the rcon commands will work (but you can and probably should, enter your rconpassword before connecting).

hehe, that's to enable cheats in SP

But yes, you need to make sure you enable the console via the in game menu.

However there is a command line switch

+set ui_console 1
