ASE/Ingame server search

Hey Guys! my first post. This is not neccessarily COD2 specific, but our server is a COD2 server......Anyways;

Has anyone experienced this? No one can find our game server in ASE (All Seeing Eye), or in the ingame server search. I dont know if theres a DNS that needs updating?

well i think the ASE scanners are dead (at least i cant find any servers in hungary with it)
when did you start ur server up? because it takes a while before the activision master server picks it up (this goes double with cod2 activision ms, because they sux)

yeh, you are right about the ASE scanners, only 2 left, Yahoo have really killed ASE.

As for the ingame menu, i found that 'pureserver' was off in our server config file. put it on and our name is back in the ingame list!

I have another problem though. I put the Latest PAM mod on our server (z_svr_pam203b.iwd) 2.03b and now i get the message on startup 'iwd sum/name mismach' any ideas?

cod2 isnt really mod friendly, it only likes to run only one mod at a time. so clear out ur main dir from any other mods (maybe maps too, but not likely)

first use http://stats.callofduty.com/ to see if your server is making it to Activisions servers.

There has been many issues with servers being listed all the way back to cod1. If all your ports are being forwarded and your server can resolve the activision authorization servers then your only hope is to change IP address of the server itself.

If it is a DNS issue find the IP address of activisions auth servers and manually add it to your servers host file, this may help.

Thanx guys, thats a good little site rudedog! We also run AWE mod along side the PAM mod, but they are housed seperatly on our server and can only be started from a front end config panel (CPANEL). But i did what you said about the maps romeozor, i pulled all the custom maps out and put them back one at a time, and found the bad egg lol. it was a map after all, called 'lolv2':)

i know ASE also was a bit screwed up a few days ago and I had to switch to a different scanner so you might want to try that also.

problem is Diva, there are only 2 scanners, and both are yahoo lol. unless theres a way of finding more scanners and adding them? Either way, i think most ppl are now using x-fire, cause its like ASE and TS built into 1.

no what im saying is I lost alot of information like my friends list and other things, same as my clan members so I switched scanners that day (one of our guys suggested) and everything came up. So something was going goofy with one of them so it was a suggestion.

oh, but i only get 2 scanners, all the others have gone from the scanlist, how many do you get?

i heard ase wasnt supporting new games either is that correct? did i read that here? i am getting quite old cant remember where i read that.
