I'm so excited, that I had to post this. We got the new phone books from Bell South today, granted we threw out a stack of equile size from Verizon with the exeption of the one Verizon books you see here. Someone should tell Bell South and Verizon about this thing we call the Internet.

I don't know about you but after moving to Florida a little over a year and a half ago, we did not expect to get this many phone books, each year. The water bottle is in the picture for reference.

Does anyone else get this many phone books? I told my wife I had to post this because it's so stupid it's "Internet funny". [hand]

I live in NY and I get about four or so a year. I throw most of them away. The telephone company reps leave them outside in the rain/snow and they get destroyed.

You think they deliver that for the purpose of letting you find phone numbers?

No man, its pure advertising junk mail. Marginally more usefull than the unsolicited holiday catalogs.

Maybe I should be a lumber jack over in teh US I'd be rich rich rich just cutting tree's for phone books.

In teh UK I get two. One white with peoples phones numbers and one yellow with business numbers. There about the size of the two at the bottom of teh stack in the picture.

That's what I was use too, one white pages with names and numbers and one yellow pages with buisness numbers along with their small ads.

And this is only 1/2 I through out the other stack from verizon LOL.

Yeah, I live in CA and I get at least that many. I get them from 5 different phone companies. I only keep one and the rest make the short trip from the front porch to the recycle can. What a waste of money and resources (not that I am a tree hugger by any means). And I used to only get 2 as well, a white and a yellow. Must be getting old since I am reminiscing about the old days. :)

Yep down here in Phoenix I received a stack similar to the one you received Rudedog. Internet FTW!

The phone book for my town -- the only one i get, is less than 1/2 thick.

Makes for deciding where to order Pizza from a little easier though!
