Help! My CoD stopped working!

:cry: It worked for like a month then one day I got this error:

CoDmp.exe has encountered an error and needs to close

It happens before I get anywhere its right after I click on the shortcut.
The error code is as follows:

AppName: codmp.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00000000

I have tryed uninstalling it and and reinstalling it several times, I have installed it on different drives, and I have cleaned out the registry and then reinstalled and same error. Also single player just starts loading and then takes me back to the desktop.

I know FollowChrist personally and so I tried to help him out a bit on his problem. The only thing I haven't done yet is sit down in front of his box to see what I can do. He also ensured there were no drive emulators, Alcohol120%, or Nero installed during the reinstallation process. He has done what he said, and still the same problem. I am hoping someone else may have an idea.....anyone?

Just for the heck of it, try clicking on the actual exe and not the shortcut.

Also make sure you disable any antivirus software you may have running.

Doh! I guess having him do that would have helped.......that would have fell under...being there in front of the box to do that. Very good suggestions.

Well FollowChrist got his game to work again...apparently he needed to update his video drivers.
