So other than a few custom's working properly, I had a server full of people getting errors last night. A number of the maps, (falaisevilla, lolv2) I ran local first, with good results , but as soon as I put them up on the server with a few other maps that have worked (stalingrad, v2-rocket) they crashed horribly. Anyone have any advice as to what maps seem to work with others......I dont seem to remember MoH customs being so finickY...... :?

This is more of an issue with the CoD client loading all-known .pk3 files upon startup. Hopefully with the patch, CoD clients will only load those pk3's which match the server; thus ignoring any additions/mods/maps that the server is not running. This is what sv_pure is designed to do, but seems borked in CoD at the moment.
We'll see in 1.2.

You may know this.
Don't put more than 8 mod or map PK.s in ya server main or client main folder, if you have then ya guys will connect but then get kicked with time out errors.

I'm seeing that as well doc. I hope the patch addresses this issue but I have a feeling that the patch will render most maps useless. I hope I'm wrong.

The v2 rocket map has caused me many problems. My guess is the scripting for the doors conflicts with some of my other maps/mods. Also noticed a problem with Bigger Brecourt. :(

Well, thanks for the reply's guy's.
To bad their wasnt some easy answer that i missed out on.
I 've had about a few maps in for serveral weeks now:
moh_stalingrad, outlawsdv, CODV2, westwall and vokfixed.
All these maps seemed to run fine. Last friday night I try'd running about 10 other maps that ive been u/l as I find and all but two puked up a pak sum/name error for everyone.......;(
Later that night/Sat morning I turned off pure locally ,and ran thru the maps. They all ran great. Im hoping to due the same this friday night on the server and see if by turning off pure I can get them to run correctly under load.
Whats pure really good for now anyway.....gl_boons......
This friday night will be the acid test....ill post back my results.
If anyone has a list of maps they run, and the major mods they use, it would be great if they would like to share.
ps. If this OFN and somewhere i missed a thread, please direct me.

Try checking out www.redsbox.net He has runs a lot of custom maps with PRM I beleive. Has a nice setup where you download an self extracting zip, that places the pk3 for you ( noobified )
