port flooding shuts down the rcon port ?

i rent a server on a shared box

and this is the reply i got from the tech after losing rcon control of the server. I was wondering if anyone knows any thing more about this, either a fix beyond regular rebooting .. or is this common to MoH servers ?

"yeah it needs a hard reboot... damn port flooding hack shuts down the rconport... wish they would patch Moh for that.."

It doesn't need to be a hack (sigh), the game can do it all by itself. I think the magic number is 18. Get more than that number of players and the rcon can stop working completely. Worse still, it takes a hard reboot to fix it. Stopping and starting the game server won't fix it.
