All server admins please read!

OK gentlemen, I'm a little annoyed. As server admins, we all need to get on the same page. It 's getting a little frustrating to be a player. Let me explain....
I have cl_allowdownload enabled on my game. When I connect to a server, If it allows downloads, I get the files. If you're running a mod, all admins should seriously consider not making their servers pure- It kicks you beacuse your running other .pks! Damn annoying!
My other gripe is you run a mod, but you can't download it from the server. Please allow downloading where the bandwidth permits. How do you expect players to connect if they dont know what mod your'e running?
My suggestion is to please put in it the server name, so you can see what mod the server runs. Maybe putting in a P for pure in the server name? If anyone else has any ideas. please post them so players won't get frustrated!

well i for one wont remove the pure settings from the 4 servers we run

it opens too many doors for things too happen

i do not allowdownloads yet till things change with the game

but then i dont run any mod maps yet so there is no reason too

just not worth the risk yet till the bugs are worked out

1. You don't need a server side mod in order to play as a client.

2.Turn off the allow download in your config.

3. Use the All Seeing Eye to filter out PURE or non PURE servers. This is the best program out there. click here (http://www.udpsoft.com/eye2/index.html)

4. There are tools available to move your custom files out of your main folder in order to play CoD on a pure server.

I have hard enough time with opengl hackers, now you want me to allow the script bunnies as well. Notta chance. If you can't get it, then move the files. Geez. How hard can it be.
