Anti Cheat Question

Given the issues I had getting this to work on our windows flavored server you had suggested that I live with the limited features of SW by running it locally. Will the AntiCheat feature run this way or would it take SW running on the server for that to work.

I am definitly not the expert here, but I was able to get it to work fine remotely. The only problem I had was getting myself running the anticheat client to connect to my second computer that was running SW Server. It showed everyone else connecting but I just got booted all the time and got errors.
