MapPacks - how do you make them?

Is there any specific instructions on how to make a mappack?
I've tried using winzip, winrar, and ace to no avail.
I've uppacked the individual maps to a folder say mypack, but still can't get the structure right!
are there any utilities?

Pakscape will do it, just save the file as pk3, then rename it from pk3 to .iwd.

Basically, you just merge all the folders inside the iwd files into one and save it.
