Okay, so we're kicking around some potential ideas for cool stuff to award to the folks who pre-order Airborne, and it occurred to us, why not just ASK them what they'd be interested in?
So here's a list of some potential items. Do any of them sound interesting to you? Anything that's not here that you'd really like?
Giveaways:
- Poster
- Dog Tag
- Medal
- Game Score (Soundtrack)
- Flash Drive
- Lithograph
- XBox Faceplate
- T- Shirt
- Mini Guide
- Plush of some sort
- Figure/Figurine
- Bonus DVD
- Art of MoHA Book (or art of MoH Franchise)
- Wrist band/strap
- Keychain
Downloadable content:
- Additional XBox Live Maps
- XBL Weapons Upgrades
- Characters models/skins
- Vehicles
I know some of it's XBox Live stuff, and you're mostly PC Gamers, but just run with it, please, and let me know your thoughts and additions.
Thanks!

Not to be a stick in the mud, but once bitten twice shy...
How about a money back guarantee it won't be another Pacific Assault?
In all seriousness, the stuff I would personally be most likely to use/wear/display is a T-shirt or ball cap. Flash drive would be cool but sounds a bit more costly (for you guys, thus eventually for us) than the other 2.

T shirt (but don't stop at XL - heh) flash drive would be very cool, or mug (coffee or beer is fine).
Hey, asking the people, you guys really are starting to do it right. :D Hope that carries through to the game. I was part of the admin group invited to see MOHPA while under development. One thing that hit me was that while it was really cool to see everything, we got no real chance to work it. It felt like marketing, and not enough exposure to provide good input. I don't know who the testers were, but you need the benefit of a more extended exposure to experienced people who understand what makes a good map and a good game. This is different than the testing to document specific bugs and fixes. The first thing that hit me about MOHAA was that the game types and maps were classics. They worked. They are still favorites. Now that's a testament to the designers. The first thing that struck me about MOHPA was the maps were either hum drum, cramped, or confusing/boring. And the "serial objective" game type didn't really catch on - perhaps in part because of the maps. MOHAA had two expansion packs. MOHPA was lucky to get a patch. I think its important. Worried about intellectual property, have the lawyers draw up the papers. Otherwise your intellectual property won't be worth protecting. You guys are on the right track with this reaching out, but we need to go beyond the marketing questions. ;)

I like the following:
Figures <- are great ideas but they need to be quality
tshirt <- these are also great but you need too many sizes
baseball hat <- love these
dog tags <- cool and different
Lithographs <- another really cool item
I like thumb drivers but the size you can offer (cost to EA) is not worth it for most people. But now that I think about it, this is where you could add extra content, screen savers, digital media or special game saves for the xbox guys
I see you have xbox face plates, which is cool for the console guys how about some type of case skin/sticker for us PC users.
How about some type of MOHAirbone breast patch for clothing
another idea, what about an old WWII movie like "The longest day" or "Dirty Dozen" DVD.
Coming from the business of Trade Shows we always had to think of cool give a ways, while cost needs to be considered we also had to think about size, quality and theme.
I know I would like something from the WWII era with MOHA on it, We got some very cool WWII first aid (replica) bags from the MOH Team event in EALA, my daughter still takes that bag to class every day but that may be a bit big for a in store pre purchase item.
Dragon make some well made models of weapons and figures these would be nice but could be costly
How about an old C ration kit, then again you don't want to make your customers sick LOL.
Thanks for asking BH

I've heard of choice lmao but you're spoiling us now BlackHat 8)
I personally shall not be pre-ordering unless an MP demo is released beforehand. Been had before by another company, buying the same game twice (mutton dressed as lamb CoD2). So I would prefer to try before I buy as the reviews are not all they are cracked up to be and I prefer hands on before I shall be parting with my money in future.
However should you release an MP demo whilst taking pre orders then I really like the idea of a lithograph, being of a more mature age, I can't quite see myself running around in a MOH:A t-shirt lol.

Agreed!
Love the Dog Tags Idea
The Cap and T-Shirts seem so common, honestly.
Artwork would be choice
Howsabout some classic plastic army men or something of that nature? Like a 3 or 5 pack of some really really nice looking plastic army men figurines?
Can't go wrong with a Tin box style package? Maybe a limited edition thing?
a Mug? or a classic tin cup style coffee cup? Like you'd find in the MessHall? dinged up a bit like it was used and have a logo on the side?
a Comic book?
Vintage propaganda posters? smaller in size, reprints, obviously but poster style?
a compass?
a patch of some sort? Airborne or otherwise?

How about you keep all of the free stuff and devote all monies from the free items towards an anti cheat out of the box. I fully believe everyone would rather see that. Hell, if you charge $10.00 more for the game with anti cheat that is guaranteed to work out of the box I'd be thrilled.......and gladly willing to pay the extra coin.

All of these things are really nice but I have to agree with Avenger here, skip all the extras, and use it to have an AC in box AT RETAIL. News travels fast through gaming communities, give everyone a great game with AC and it will sell itself.
REAL GAMERS don't want prizes, they simply want a FUN, ENTERTAINING COMPETITIVE CHEAT-FREE GAME, give us that and you got yourselves a REAL WINNER !! :)
