Today, Prey (http://www.prey.com) hit the stores. For US players, that is. European players have to wait until Friday before they can buy the game.
2K Games, a publishing label of Take-Two, and 3D Realms announced that the first-person shooter Prey is now available in stores across North America.
As Tommy, a hapless garage mechanic who is abducted into this hostile, spincter-filled, extraterrestrial environment, you'll have to use every tool at your disposal -- including bioweapons, gravity, the after-life, and spirit powers -- to fight your way to freedom.
Prey, developed by Human Head Studios, also includes multi-player deathmatch for up to eight players.
If you're a limited collector you're in luck! There is a Limited Collector's Edition of Prey available that comes with pewter figurines of Tommy and Hunter suitable for display, the Art of Prey illustrated booklet, and a soundtrack download.
Those who'd like to try before they buy can download a demo of the game online or through the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Prey is currently available for Microsoft's Xbox 360 and PC in North America and will be available at stores in Europe on July 14.
