Hello!

I'm new to CoD2 and want to start some modding, using my pc to run a test server before uploading to a dedicated .
My prob is i've been playing for the first time today and mods have been downloaded in main. So i must remove them if i want to run a server, mustn't i?
Is it possible that all the mods that are downloaded when i play would be automatically downloaded in a special folder so that when i run my pc server, i don't have to remove those mods each time?

Thanks!

You can run a home server and still eave your mods in your main folder.

Just have you config set up up not to use them.

Hi there I think you need to have a look at this thread, http://www.fpsadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10141 it will keep you main folder free and use a seperate folder for mods and server .cfg's

:p

Cheers

I don't think it's possible to control where the downloads to your PC end up from online servers when you play. Unless you just turn off auto downloads.

If the server admin has put the mod files in /main, they end up in your /main. If the server admin has set up using fs_game and put the mod files in /modfolder, a /modfolder directory is created on your gaming PC.

The problem is a lot of server admins don't have the ability to add the +set fs_game notation to their server's startup command so they can only dump the files into /main.
