Ok I pretty much download and play with just about every new tool. I have it downloaded this one and got it running. Seems to be a pretty good tool. I have setup accounts for a couple of my guys and will test it out over the next few days. So far the only thing I can find is that it wont change maps. But the other features appear to be working correctly at least initially for me. It is still fairly limited in it's features but it does do what it's designed to do. A secure way for someone to kick and ban ect without giving them the pass.
One thing I do not see that a log file is kept in the installed directory. I'm assuming there is one somewhere? In the event I want go back and see who did what after the server has been shut down is there a log file?

Sup Momma,
Well the map change feature works great for us. Did you do everything right in the release notes? We have found one bug as of right now, and it has to do with UK users. The localization entry being wrong for them. We are working on this issue. Make sure you have everything setup right. Well any input on this program? Do you like it? Is there a need for this? If you still cant get this to work on the map changing you can email johnstud@wizardsofwar.com and he could assist you in fixing your issue on this matter.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

So far the only thing I can find is that it wont change maps.
We have corrected the problem with the application not changing to certain maps. They should all work in the next version due out today.
But the other features appear to be working correctly at least initially for me. It is still fairly limited in it's features but it does do what it's designed to do. A secure way for someone to kick and ban ect without giving them the pass.
It is limited in its abilities at this point. We plan on adding more functionality over the next few months, and mayby integrate it to work with CoDam. The development is ongoing.
One thing I do not see that a log file is kept in the installed directory. I'm assuming there is one somewhere? In the event I want go back and see who did what after the server has been shut down is there a log file?
The log file is actually a Microsoft Access database that is kept in the install directory called "GameServerAdmin.mdb". Along with the log, it contains all the inner workings of GSA.

This error is caused by a misconfiguration. You need to start the GSA application, choose settings and make sure there are valid numbers in Ban Check Period, and the Announcment Period boxes. I will correct this in the next version to validate these fields and not self destruct if the settings are missing.

I put the message time to 0 cause I use rudedogs... it works fine now. I have one for each of my servers. I would like to know if they can be run in Firedeamon as a service... if so what are the switches I need to put to start them.... +connect or +start... something like that....

Another issue we have discovered. It does not appear to keep you logged in. At some point we go back to use the tool and get an authentication error. However if you log back in it works fine. Not sure how long it takes for this to happen but it has happened several times so far when just playing the game and leaving a browser open for easy access.

Well the reason for that Momma is that it grants you a 30 minute token. And after this time, you lose that one. Well there you have it. This is because of secruity reasons.

I understand your frustration Momma, but with the nature the internet, we felt a 30 minute timeout was nessasary to lower the risk of someone hacking it. What you don't want it someone highjacking your admin sessions.
We are adding a feature in a newer version to allow the admin to control this timeout period. But when we do add it, it should be used with caution.

I have not tested running it as a service using Firedeamon. It should work, but I can not confirm it.

Not at this time. A future version is slated to use an external cascading style sheet for appearance. But currently there is no way to alter it.

ok, lemme know if you test it as a service... is there a way for it to log what it displays to a text? maybe that is something that can be worked on for a future release.
When the server crashes, do you think you could incorporate something where you can restart it through the page?
I have an issue with one of my servers right now where it crashes every now and then... so inorder to get this (admin) to work again I have to manually restart it.

It logs the information to an Access Database in the program directory.

When you say server... you mean your CoD server crashes? This tool was made to manage running servers, to keep CoD servers running there are other tools already availabel to make that work.

Does anyone know where to download this app from? Looks like the Wizards of War have removed the program from their site.
