Question About COD2

Whenever i alt tab out of the game it shuts my whole game down .

Why is this an ? Is there a way too fix it so i can normally go in an out of the game screen ?

I have seen a few other reported the same thing.

Since the patch has come out I have had the same problem!!! Not once did it crash before, now it does each time I have to ALT TAB out!!!!

I think its to do with punkbuster they have implemented a new screenshot capture code witch nos if a player tabs out of game but its not fully working correct yet .

Will have to take a look at that myself... Im always having to Alt-tab out of the game for some reason or another :rolleyes:

I'm still able to hit the Windows key and have the game minimize. Then I can ALT-TAB back into it.

try using a minimizer... that would work :)

i use windows key to minimize and click on bottom bar to maximize..BUT if map rotates whilst minimized COD2 crashes out sometimes with DX error message....seems to be okay the majority of the time just watch the map rotating :rolleyes:

Is there a minimizer for COD2? I`ll think I`ll have a look round and let you know if I find one..gotta be one surely?

I think there was one for COD but I could never get it to work for me.

The minimiser for COD and UO worked for games running the Quake 3 games engine so thoeretically it should work with COD2 however there are only options to minimise COD and UO.

Not sure if the guy that created it has plans to expend it to COD2 or not.
