PB Authentication Failure

Hello People,

I help run a cod uo server and i have been having problems with PB. Every time i connect after about ten minuets i get booted for 'General PB Client Authentication Failure'. I and two other clan members are also experiencing this.

I have not changed any settings on my router recently (which has been fine for over a year), my computer has recently been formatted so its a fresh install of PB and COD, both my client version and the server PB are fully up to date.

The only thing that links me with the other two players is that we all use AOL (shudder), this makes me think that it might be a problem with AOL....BUT....i have connected to other servers and been able to play with out getting kicked, which makes me think it is a problem with our server.

Basically i am confused and was hoping that someone could share some wisdom..........please.......:mad:

Try this rcon command: /rcon pb_sv_ver

Then compare the versions you're running with what is on the front page of the evenbalance site: http://www.evenbalance.com

If it's old, run this command: /rcon pb_sv_update

Give it 10 minutes and check /rcon pb_sv_ver again. If it's still old, best thing to do is run pbsetup: http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

If you don't have access to the box (i.e. it's rented) ask your provider to do it.

server is v1.173
client is
v1.216

One of our other members has had a reply back from a support ticket from evenbalance.... they dont know what it is:confused: lol

Note #2: These users mostly use AOL as their provider. AOL seems to have some issue with their network. Users told us they will have it fixed this weekend.
