For you guys looking for a realistic WWII shooter,with anti cheat,great maps and developer support check out the UT2K3 total conversion mod Red Orchestra http://www.unrealwarfarex.com/redorchestra/features.html
Version 1.2 will be released tomorrow (Saturday 1/9/04) all you need is a copy of Unreal Tounament 2003 to play,the download for RO is free.
I too was really hot for COD before it's release,promising realistic gameplay and all but have found it to be a major disappointment,the single player was awesome,the multiplayer...so much potential.
Then I stumbled upon RO and my search for a realistic WWII shooter has ended,it'a a fantastic game,great maps,objective style gameplay,map determined class limmits etc.
Really takes some coordinated teamwork to win and with each new build release...gets better and better.Ideally suited for clan wars.
Do yourselves a favor and check it out if you own UT2K3,if you don't you can pick it up rather cheap nowadays,believe me,it's well worth it.
Forgive me for pimping another game on a COD forum,but this game is not well known and is too good not to take a look at.
