Has anyone heard anymore about the patch with anti-cheat and when it is likely to become available?

There was an article on a frensh website about the Patch had been tested with PB and it would be coming out soon.
There said a couple of key words Big patch and soon that is all in a nutshell.

So what ever soon means I have no idear anymore with IW/Activision.

I have been around the MP Gaming for a long time now and never saw so much lack of Support from any other company.

Hope its soon COD2 is dieing a bit with out a Proper AC allthou DMW are close but its still beta(so its the MoHAA scanner too lol :( ) + it costs and thier free scanner for cod2 wont be around for ages so :(
looks like PB might get in there (if/when the patch comes)

Well if they don't hurry up I'll be leaving the cod2 scene and going over to some other multiplayer. I love the game but the cheating has now become rife and is making the came pointless to play online :-(

the texture glitches are bad enough, but when a haxor comes in and racks up the kills like 100 - 4 ratio that is not cool.

I already know when the patch will be released.......the day I leave on an emergency business trip LOL... sorry guys but I'm 6 for 10 on patches when I travel :(

I wish I could say I was holding out for the patch. I have already uninstalled the game and will definity give it a shot when and if it's released.

Too many new FPS games heading our way and if IW/ACT wants CoDx to stick around they better make this one hell of a patch.

been seeing rumers for next week on the patch. but to me seeing the rumers of cod3 comiming out in the fall i think its just a shot in the arm so we calm down a bit, because cod3 is just cod2 the way it was suppsed to be.

Wolf, let's hope COD3 is the way it suppose to be because a lot of unhappy customers will not be buying anything over CoD2.

Nothing on the patch. A couple UK guys over at IWN have called ACT UK and where told nothing until after April 1st.

My contact at ACT said, do not listen to customer service but could not confirm any dates.

So long story short it's anyone's guess when the patch will be released. I just wish ACT does something about the way IW is handling their customers and this patch.

Ok it might only be a rumour, like so many things.
But what i heard was PC patch has been ready for 2/3 weeks now, but Microsoft wont let IW/ACT release it until Xbox 360 patch is out. I hear you say how can Mircosoft hold a realse of patch that they dont make. Well Mircosoft being the a**holes that they are have prolly said something like, if you dont release PC patch same time as 360 patch, we dont want IW/ACT making/realeasing anymore games for Xbox.

Yes, that was the statement made by tally over at IWN. While tally did have contact with IW, while he was a moderator at IWN. but like everything else, it's now simply speculation, which could be somewhat true as I believe another company is kind of in the same situation with their xbox 360 version.
Again, this is all rumor and has not been confirmed or denied by IW.

Most of the patch was ready and already in COD2 before they releasted the game.I mean the fixes they had in COD.For some risen they took it out.So they couuld have released the patch anytime they wanted.The rest of the fixes added on after they found them like map gliches browser bug ect...
From what i have been hearing they still trying to fix the server crash bug.But that is all speculations since they wont tell us anything.Even is they had a n agreement with microsoft they could still tell us something.
The server crash bug has been known about for years just like the Left lean bug and it took them over 2 years to fix it.When they fixed it ,it took one day.
It all comes down to very poor Management.

COD2 is dead, forget it, COD3, I doubt has much future either.

The mention of M$ in this thread confirms it for me, bye I'm off to play anything other than what IWN can provide now or anytime soon............

Still no news,
Rumors where 1st week of April but again those are just rumors.

April 10th, the new Community Manager starts at IW. He has already registered here at FPSadmin.com but I'm not giving his name out until he official starts, then we can mail bomb his PM box [hand] J/K.... :)
