Commands Rcon

Currently have a 20 man call of duty server. Having a problem bringing up status in the rcon commands. When type in /rcon status sometimes it works but for the most part it doesn't. Need this to be able to control the /rcon clientkick slot#. Also trying to figure out to ban people from the server. /rcon banclient slot# or /rcon banuser name neither work. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I pay 65 a month to have a good clean server, but sometimes i have trouble with certain ones getting them to play fair.

The ban function, as i heard it, is not currently functional in 1.1..

There are several tools that will allow you to use a ban feature. As steintz mentioned Autokick will allow it. I believe CoDaM and Serverwatch will as well. Many of the tools will incorporate the ban feature once the new patch is delivered which will allow you to ban by CD key.

As for status and some other primary admin stuff. If you prefer to do these using an in-game interface I have found the HLC Rcon Tool to be good because it allows you to do all the basic stuff like status checks, kick, weapon limits, map change, gametype change etc without leaving the game.
