Hi folks,
I've been trying to find some info on how to set up an non dedicated server with mods. (awe and mpsh). Me and a few guys are getting to gether for an lanparty. We have done it before only without mods. I just started an non dedicated server thruw the game, this worked the best then. But this time we want the mods in we always play with. I installed the awe mod and can get an simple server up , but i want more features from the awe mod. I've been reading allot of stuff and i think i no how to change the awe.cfg. But do i need to set up an config for standard uo also? I probably think so, but i just can't locate it in the game. I also think i need to set up an command line but don't no wich one. Any help/info on this would be much appriciated.

In order to run a mod like AWE sucessfully, I think you're going to need a command-line startup, as well as a server config, which then calls the AWE config...just as if you're setting up a dedicated server, but using the following as a command-line:
"C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\CoDUOMP.exe" +set dedicated 1 +exec yourserver.cfg +set fs_game aweuo +map_rotate
Be aware that I'm using an older version of AWE, but the point is that you need a "+set fs_game" for the mod to run properly.
Your "yourserver.cfg" file, should contain a "exec aweuo.cfg", or whatever file is used by your version of AWE. Note that you will need a folder at the same level as "main", and the "fs_game", the "exec", and the folder names all need to match.
I assume that you're playing on the same machine as the server? If so, just set up your folders with the appropriate PK3s for the mods, then execute the command-line, above, and a console window should appear. You should then be able to start your own 'client' game, and join your own server.
Note the "+set dedicated 1"...that's a dedicated server, but on a LAN...it won't be seen outside. As I said, with mods, I don't think that you can just start the server from within the game itself.
When your friends join, just make sure that they either have downloading turned on, or give them the client PK3s for the mods your running.

Thank you OldDog that info about the command line was one of the things i needed.
Yes, my computer is the server and i'll be playing on it also at the lanparty. Last time we just set up the server thruw the game, and i understand that's not possible if you want to use an mods potential to the fullest. I've done all the reading about the awe 2.12 and installed it(windows installer). I have changed the awe.cfg to my needs. The folder awe_uo is in it's correct place, all the files are in it. The only thing i'm missing is the "myserver.cfg" wich i understand go's in the uo folder. Is there an basic tdm.cfg wich i can download or copy somewhere. I think i saw a guide where a cod uo .cfg was in the past on this website but i can't find it any more.

I PM'd you with a basic tdm config file. You'll need to change it to match what you need. Put it in "main".

I have figured it out and it works great. Only thing that didn't seem to work was the cfg you send me olddog, so i used another one. If i used yours it kept saying there was not map rotation and i didn't change that. Again thank you for your help.
