COD2 Language Filter
-------------------------

This language filter works by hooking the currently running server processes.

Features:
1) Send commands directly to console window
2) Warn user when an obsenity is detected
3) customizable word list
4) works with multiple servers
5) no need for log files

1: Send commands directly to console window
-----------------------------------------------------
Type your text into the box and click send. It will send your command directly to the server console
as though you were typing directly into it, but without interruption from server messages

2: Warn user when an obsenity is detected
-------------------------------------------------
Users are warned when they chat (in any mode) and use a profain word in their chat text
Each user is warned twice about the profanity and upon the 3rd offense is kicked. If they reconnect
and use profanity again they will be kicked on the first offense

3: Customizable word list
-----------------------------
You can create your own word list or add to the one we have provided. The list is comma delimited
and can contain words or phrases to search for. Once you start the language filter click the button
entitled "Load List". This will load the contents of the language.txt file into the black textbox. If you
make any changes in this textbox simply click the save button and the text will be saved to the
language.txt file. Click "Load Text" button to load the data into the listbox to begin detecting profanities.

4: Works with multiple servers
-----------------------------------
This program will work with multiple servers running on one box. There is a trick to it though.
For each server running you will need to run a new instance of "COD2 Language Filter". Make sure
that the server window you want the filter attached to is "on top" (selected) of other applications and then
run the language filter.

5: No need for log files
--------------------------
This program works directly on the dedicated box hosting the call of duty2 servers. It is not a remote
application or remote log viewer. It will plug itself directly into the currently selected console.

Thanks rude dog.

Seems as if we missed a few minor issues. Doing some more testing on it.
Seems to not catch users with spaces in there names. Also working on making a larger language.txt file as well to be installed with it. Also worked out the bug with case sensitive of bad words as well. So no matter if upper or lower case it will catch it. Also right now it is not catching everyone so I believe we have that worked out now as well. Again testing it out before I send. That should be all the fixes that we will need and I will notify you when it is done. Again I apologize on this. Things you forget.

If you need filtered words, you may want to check out the old bazooka chat filter for MOH.

There are a lot of choice words in there that may help you add some things you might not think of.

I will see if I can find an old copy

Thanks!
Those we pretty much have it is when people start doing f u or and spaces like that it is bad. Have to write alot of crap out unless we remove spaces in words then have to worry about that. hhmmm looks like alot of work ahead.

I have updated the file on my site for the Language filter should get no more errors. Be sure to backup your language.txt file before installing this one.
http://www.rabidservers.com/modules.php?na...op=getit&lid=12

This took some time to locate the error where the CoD2LF was crashing seems as if it were the CoD2 Console was refreshing after so many lines of text and was reseting console back 0 characters in window. Now that solution has been fix plus still working on a larger language.txt.

If you can update and remove the older versions from the site that would be great RudeDog. :D :salute:
