Just got my copy of COD2 (that's a whole editorial in itself)

FYI. This bad boy is 4 gigs you will be uploading to your servers. No word on dedicated server files, so it looks like you will be uploading the whole thing.

Yep.. 4GB up uploading fun! Took 15+ minutes just to INSTALL the game.

Good thing though is that the .iwd files are right on the CDs, so you don't HAVE to install it somewhere to start transfering those file. Also, they did a VERY good job of distributing the weight of the files. There are many more, but none of them are over 175MB.

If you want to run a server in pure mode, Yes, you will have to upload all files. A dedicated server can be run with a reduced number of files however. I managed to get my server going with little more than 1 Gig uploaded. This got us out of the gate quickly, and the remainder of the files can be loaded at our leisure so that we can run in pure mode eventually. I'm at work right now and can't remember the list of files..........

With the help of FA155mm (member.php?u=9722) you can get started with only the red files but remember if you wish to run a pure server you need them all.

You're correct on the green files, but there's also some of the red ones that aren't needed either. I'll check later this evening and post a list.

For the red iw files, all I used was 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 06, 07, 08, 13, 14 and it worked for me.
